    MDB as DBMS is powered by Join Engine Tech / Jet (the Red version): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Jet_Database_Engine . The Blue version / ESE of Jet DBMS is used by MS Exchange, MS Active Directory, Windows Search https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extensible_Storage_Engine. Those results should not be a surprise.
