In my opinion, clearly an employee management system would be more useful – the vast majority of the applications that a .NET programmer has to implement in it’s day-to-day job are of this kind (CRM, ERP, invoicing, warehouse/inventory management, e-commerce etc..)
I think an Image gallery would be interesting, was thinking of it my self.
