Direct Debit Mandate Agreement
One method applies only to the payer and the beneficiary, with the payer authorizing the recipient to recover the money due in his account. However, the payer may order his bank to return all levies without justification. In this case, the beneficiary must pay all the costs associated with the transaction and may ultimately lose his ability to initiate levies if this is too often the case. However, all account holders (not just payers) must continue to monitor bank statements and demand returns if necessary, unless they have ordered their bank to block all debits. To avoid abuse, account holders should monitor their bank statements and ask their bank to return unauthorized (or forged) debits. As fraudulent collection instructions are easily traced, abuse is rare. However, there may be problems if the amount charged and collected is wrong or unexpected. There have also been cases of fraudulent withdrawals where fraudsters attempt to collect very small individual amounts from a large number of accounts, in the hope that most account holders would start to pose a problem on such small amounts, giving fraudsters enough time to withdraw the collected money and disappear. In Poland, the direct debit system is operated by KIR (Krajowa Izba Rozlictzeniowa) and participating banks as one of the functions of the Elixir clearing system. The payer must authorize the recipient by filling out, signing and issuing a standardized paper form in two copies. A copy, after filling out the payment recipient`s data and a customer identification number, is sent by the recipient to the payer`s bank that verifies the signature.
From now on, the beneficiary will be able to debit the payer`s account. As of October 24, 2012, it is also possible to file such an authorization through the payer`s bank, often online. Levies are the safest and most reliable way to collect recurring payments. The average consumer has six levies and, in 2018, 6.4 billion transactions have been made. The popularity of direct flows can be attributed directly to its airtight safety processes, which begin with a collection warrant called “sampling instructions.” All they have to do is mandate by phone to finish online on your website or on paper. The only information they need to provide is their name, bank name, sorting code and account number. Many small businesses do not themselves have debit systems and a third-party payment service must be used for the interface between the customer and the customer`s bank. To do this, payment services charge a small fee (usually $1 to $2 per transaction, included in the bill amount). In Sweden, a direct debit system called Autogiro is possible. The amount is withdrawn from the payer`s account at the recipient`s request, without providing any information. Permission is granted once without a time limit for each combination of payers/recipients, but it can be revoked at any time.
